Illumination is an event wherein the life-changing and encouraging message of the gospel is presented in an environment that is entertaining, yet nonthreatening.
This year, our featured guest is Leon Patillo who is the former lead singer of the Santana Band. Also appearing is “Papuri” (meaning Praise), a talented and gifted group of singers and performers. Pastor Ed Dacio will then give a presentation of the gospel that is Biblically-sound and culturally relevant.

Leon Patillo is one of the musical pioneers of our time. His concerts are always filled with excitement, praise, worship and teaching. Leon was the lead vocalist for the Santana Band but Praise God! He went from Santana to Hosanna!
Leon released his first album, Dance Children Dance through Word Records. He released seven more albums, which included such notable songs as J-E-S-U-S, Cornerstone and the famous wedding song, Flesh of my Flesh.
Leon has 2 new albums: Re-Entry and Love Songs.
Re-Entry is a combination of Old School, New School where Leon and his son Noel, a rapper, have put together their talents to bridge the gap between generations and help with family restoration; Love Songs, centers on our love for Jesus as well as our mate. The songs go straight to your heart and will make you fall in love all over again.
Word Records has also just released a collection of his classic hits called, The Definitive Collection.
Leon started pastoring the Rock House Church in Long Beach, CA whose vision is to have a balanced life—spiritually, physically, financially, mentally and socially. They meet at the Royal Theater aboard the Queen Mary.
During the week, Leon continues to travel with the, Get Motivated Seminars where he performs on stage with such personalities like Zig Ziglar, Mayor Giuliani, George Foreman, Colin Powell and other notable speakers.
He also supports his wife, Renee with her Health and Freedom Ministry. They have a program called Rebuilding the Temple. It is a 6-week program that transforms your life — body, mind and spirit — 1% a day, for 40 days. It teaches about discipline, nutrition, exercise, stress, and time management. She is available to share this with your church.
Leon’s newest project is a homeless shelter in Long Beach. Allowing him to come and minister to your church would help in raising funds to make this project a reality and help the homeless.
